Times Square

Wednesday Night I: Part 5 of a 13-part series of photos documenting my trip to New York:

  • Walked through Times Square… mistaaaake. It’s nice and all, but it’s basically a giant tourist trap.
  • Walked through the Fashion District. We saw Mood — the fabric store they use all the time on Project Runway! Oh, and my cousin Bernice claims to have seen Tim Gunn on the subway the next day. I’m still skeptical about that one
  • We ate at Tick-Tock Diner on 34th, it was just OK.
  • Took the Subway to meet up with cousins in Union Square.
  • The first picture below is how you always see Times Square in postcards, the next couple are just pictures of how it felt (crowded, bright, and colorful). Click thru 2-8 real fast and you get the picture:

Photo notes: Soundslides! We’ll see how long this lasts. For slow shutter speed I basically increased my aperture to f/22 and walked around pressing the shutter release.

  1. What do you mean? The subway was actually pretty cool. It goes everywhere and it’s pretty easy to get the hang of. No one was rude or anything to me either. I think I have more subway photos, not sure where those are yet.
