On Halloween my friend Adam took his girlfriend to Allerton Park for a scavanger hunt. Little did she know that it was really a setup for him to propose to her. :-)

Sunday: Part 12 of a 13-part series of photos documenting my trip to New York:
[Warning: the slides might take a little while to load on slower connections.]
So my friends Kyle and Lauren finally got married and I made the trek out to Rockford for the reception. I had a lot of fun and got to see a lot of my friends from school in the middle of summer for once. This is the first reception I’ve been to solely as a guest since I started doing photo gigs professionally so it was a little weird for me to figure out what boundaries I should or should not cross. I tried my best to not be a creepo and take a billion shots of everything like I normally do at weddings, and let the hired photog do her job (although, I was pretty peeved when I saw her using the Live-View function on her 40D instead of the viewfinder for ‘standard’ shots. C’mon!). Anyhow, it was an awesome time, we rocked out to Michael Jackson, Cha-Cha slide, and the usual SPD fanfare.

More after the break..
Here are some photos from the wedding of Theron and Kiera Berry on May 23, 2009.

It was a lot of fun to shoot, had some tricky lighting conditions, but overall it was a great experience and a pleasure to document the day for the awesome couple. Congrats again, Theron and Kiera!
PS. Hooray for more portfolio filler. :-)
