Here’s a few. The rest and some other good ones will slowly matriculate into a future post. It was fun, though! And cold. Thanks Brando and Kate for being troopers. And finding the penis grafitti. My life is forever changed by it. For the better.

10 Reasons Why Autumn is Awesumn
Lists! This might be a thing I do now? It should help pass the time between any kind of meaningful updates. I mean, lists are fun, right? Anyway, here we go:
- A shock of cold. From waking up in the morning and getting out from under a frost-shielding layer of blankets to turning off the water after a nice warm shower. It’s like an extra jolt of motivation to get up in the morning.
- Hoodie Weather! Light jackets, scarves, long-sleeved shirts, and getting to wear jeans without fretting about it being too hot.
- Dark mornings. Getting up before the sun rises and watching the morning sun peek in. Sipping on coffee, reading the news, and getting ready for the day in the early magic hour.
- Colorful Scenery. Leaves from all the deciduous trees suddenly transforming from lively greens to fiery reds, mute yellows, and decaying browns. Cleaning the lawn to get rid of the fallen foliage and noticing the stains left on the driveway.
- Watching animals freak out about winter. Noticing the birds starting to take their long vacation south, and all the squirrels and furry animals foraging for food to prepare for the long winter. Oh and NO MORE BUGS. Or less of them anyway.
- Outdoorsy Activities. Apple picking, carving pumpkins, hiking through forests, barn dances, bon fires, hay rides, corn mazes, hot chocolate and popcorn.
- Halloween. Decorations, Haunted houses, Costumes (be they clever, scary, slutty, or just plain stupid). Halloween cupcakes made to look like spiders. CANDY.
- Beer! Octoberfest, fall pumpkin ales, and hard ciders.
- Fall Food! Oven-baked casseroles, chillis, soups, and stews, 100s of different kinds of pies (though pumpkin and apple are CLASSIC), and to top it all off, THANKSGIVING DINNER.
- Fall Sports. Baseball Playoffs, but only when the Cubs are doing well (which is NEVER). Start of the Football Season; Lazy sundays parked in front of the TV (Bear Down!)
