A squirrel got into the house and a few of my housemates got with a BB gun.
Ironically, tonight I get to write a dumb paper analyzing an Animal Rights activist’s argument against Speciesism for my philosophy class. Myself, I am admittedly a speciesist. I think that it’s immoral kill animals with wanton disregard (extreme speciesism), but I’m not sure that I can wrap my head around the theory that non-human animals and humans have completely equal rights. I’m better than you, squirrel!
That’s sad. All living beings are special and unique and deserve to live in peace.
And they deserve to die and be delicious.
Speciesism is especially gay. I am way better and much more important than all other animals on earth (and most humans). Also, you negligent ass forgot to mention that the squirrel in question was trying to destroy the new wood that was replaced on the house this weekend…the wood that was a giant hassle to fix. Wanton disregard my ass.
Joe, read my post better next time. We are on the same side. Speciesism is essentially what you just said you believe, so you, too, are a speciesist for placing humans above animals.
And I never said it was immoral of Zotz and mike to kill it. I don’t really care if some stupid squirrel got shot. It probably deserved it for messing up the wood. What I meant by “wanton disregard” was that I think its immoral for me to go out and shoot a dog/cat/rabbit/baboon/rhino/rhino for no reason other than the fact that I can (extreme cases of speciesism). But, then again, I guess I consider shooting for sport a good enough reason. Sometimes.
you should have ate it- then it would have been okay. squirrel gravy mmm. (not joking)
the flannel/plaid and bowl haircut are prime additions to fully appreciate this picture.
Yay, fill flash! and guns!
It is not a bowl haircut, though it may look like one and I didn’t want to take the time to clean the squirrel or run the risk of getting blood on my shirt. But, they are quite tasty if you bread and pan fry them then toss on a white wine and mushroom sauce.
